
The Scottish Police Authorities Conveners Forum
The Scottish Police Authorities Conveners Forum was set up in 1999. The aim of the Conveners Forum is to bring together Scotland’s six police authorities and two unitary authorities to consider issues of common interest, develop collective policy and best practice, and to support and co-ordinate the interests and functions of police authorities. The Conveners Forum influences policy on policing and supports local police authorities in their important role. It is also represented on all of the major committees and working groups relating to policing in Scotland and is pro-active in all matters of consultation by the Scottish Government. The Forum meets regularly throughout the year. Meetings open to the press and public, will be detailed below. The minutes of meetings which have taken place will also be accessible below.
